Automatic Delivery Packaging System
An ADS - short for Automatic Delivery System - is a system that enables automatic supply of packaging materials to one or more packing stations.
An ADS is suitable for the following FP products:
- NOVUS™ Air cushions system
- CELL-O™ Air cushions system
- CELL-O EZ
- CELL-O MARK II
- FLO-PAK™ Loosefill chips
Before we start with a project, we make a sketch of the required packaging materials area with our proposal implemented. In this proposal all the customer’s requirements are included such as roll volume, no. of protective packaging tables, line speed, future modular extensions, safety guidelines, etc.)
How it works
It all starts with one air cushion machine. The packaging machine is connected to a ‘pipeline’ that runs over the packaging materials department. Above each packing table, a bin is situated and connected to the pipeline. Each bin is equipped with an automatic sensor that detects the level of air cushions in the bin. The air cushion packaging machines starts producing as soon as one of the bins is empty or below a certain level. The air cushions are cut at a preset length after which they are transported into the pipeline with the use of a fan, directly into the bin that needs packing material. With loosefill, the same technique applies: the loosefill is transported from a bulk bin into smaller bins hanging over the packing table.
An AD system is a 100% custom-made solution and for that reason it’s extremely versatile! It can be implemented in almost any logistical situation.
Not only is it possible to have one big bin that supplies multiple protective packaging stations, we also offer a solution of a bin under which the air cushions machine is integrated.
