Tailor-made solution in six weeks

Every company is different. That is also the case for FP International's customers. Different companies require different packaging solutions. FP’s Integrated Systems Team (previously ADS) offers tailor-made solutions for packaging challenges. They integrate inflatable air cushion systems at the customer's packaging site, with modules such as folding systems, air ducts, silos and machines.

Working faster

The competition often offers standard solutions. FP International has a different approach: we integrate the packaging system into the customer's current situation. Michel Hoogeveen (Project Manager): “FP systems are often located on the packaging table, offering a compact solution. The real differentiating factor is the customer-specific systems, such as colour-codes silos with their own company logo. The Integrated Systems Team at FP International thinks like a packer. The key is to make the packaging job as easy and pleasant as possible. Ergonomics plays a very important role. A well-designed packaging table can prevent or limit absenteeism. The system is designed to fit within the scope of the user's arm, offering the packer more speed, which means a profit for the customer.

A well-organized process

First of all, the Integrated Systems Team visits the customer, together with someone from the Sales department. They listen carefully to the wishes of the customer. Holger Gierke (Account Manager): “Our customers and our very professional team work closely together, leading to a comprehensive advice regarding the work place design, or the packaging installation.” The team will measure the customer's location, develop a solution and put this into a 3D drawing. Calculations including assembly are made. After the approval of the customer the installation is being organized after approximately six weeks. The team works throughout Europe and consists of five people: three mechanics and two project managers. Ton Berkvens (Project Manager): “We work with a tight planning to get everything ready on time. Our deadlines are very strict. We expect to continue this upward trend in the future.”
